Once dried I painted along the masking tape with Tamiya X-10 for the weld line. After that I gave the whole exhausts a covering of X-19 smoke. The weld lines don't look too bad from a reasonable distance but I think next time I 'll try a dark wash instead of the X10. I would liked to have thinner lines as well but I couldn't cut the masking tape any thinner.
